I thought of writing about this very long back. Here I am, after a long thought on this. Given below are the list of people and things thet keep the parts in my machinery running. If not, I would have joined a lunatic assylum long back.
- A big mug of Filter coffee. (too good when it is made by mom).
- A stroll down Marina beach once in every two months.
- Listening to Chennai’s FM Radio stations.
- Second show movie at Ambattur’s one and only Rakki theatre. (once in a month atleast).
- Daily quarrels with Balaji. (Balaji took the honorable seat after Gayu’s marriage). I miss Gayu and our killu fights
- Long SMS chats with buddies. (as long as SMS stays free)
- Ilayaraja‘s Music.
- Balaji and Umesh‘s daily jottings.
- Chennai‘s heat. I can survive hot conditions. I hate cold climate.
- Internet.
- Not to forget my family and friends who are put up with all my idotic talks and tantrums.
- My job and my salary.
Oops! The list seems to go on like Sindbad’s tale in Daily thanthi.

Tea, TV, Food, Sleep and Internet (Not in that order)
Tea. A typical mallu’s answer. I don’t know what in the world makes make mallu go crazy after chai. Is there a big secret behind it?
For the same reason a tamilian go crazy over filter kaapi
Btw even the English are crazy over chai / tea. Now our own english man balaji might differ coz he might have seen all the new age cafes there. May be once upon a time drinking tea and playing cricket were considered as the coolest things they could do…
“For the same reason a tamilian go crazy over filter kaapi” – hehe!
Yeah! you are right about the English. Or else on which game you will find a exclusive break named Tea other than test match cricket. It reminds me of our Indian Cricket team bowled out after tea. This has happened quite a lot of times and makes one wonder what is served during tea break. During my middle school years, one of my firends told me that it isn’t tea that’s served during the tea breaks. Instead, players are served with alcoholic drinks. What a crazy bit of imagination! I believed him as I was not aware of those things at that age. But, seeing Indian cricketrers going down like pins after tea on many a number of times, I doubt whether the real tea is served or something else.
