Tamil film music quiz # 1

Finding out a song with its lyrics or its music is one of my favorite pastimes. With help from Wavepad, I have created a medley of tamil film music songs. It is a small quiz which has bits of music from three famous tamil film songs. As this is a first one, have chosen easy songs. Try and find them.

Clues
First bit – Our one and only superstar Rajnikanth’s movie.
Second bit – Sung by Deepan Chakravarthi and Uma Ramanan. (I think I have let out the answer ) .
Third bit – Bharathiraja’s movie

Good job Badri! All the three are Ilayaraaja’s. 2 and 3 are correct. I don’t think first one is that much tough. Anyway, the one who finds the first song gets a big shottu (Anantha Vikatan’s style). The quiz is open for another three days.
P.S.:- One more clue for the first song. En peru ambattur Karthi. Un peru enna? (thalaivar intha maathiri oru dialogue pesuvaaru antha padathula)

First time here Kartick. Fantastic. I couldn’t guess the first song. Great job and thanks to your motivation..I’ll also try wavepad.

Btw, The first song is oh…. Kaadhal ennai kaadhalikka villai… from the movie kodi parakkuthu.

I thought the music for kodi parakkuthu was scored by Ilayaraaja. Found that it was done by Hamsalekha.
Song no. 3, ‘Kannukkul Nooru Nilava’, is NOT an Ilaiyaraja composition. It is the composition of Ravi Devendran. This latter composer’s work has often been labeled as Ilaiyaraja ware.

Thanks for pointing it out. As Raaja ruled the period, every good song under the sun is associated with his music. Interestingly, a few links also say that the music for vedham puththithu is scored by Raaja and a few say that it is by Devendran. Find them below.
